My voicemail is transferred to my email inbox and "attached as a WAV format file which can be played by Windows Media Player and most other sound players"
However when I try to play the attached .wav on my N900, Media Player opens and displays the message: Unable to play media media format not supported

Is anyone able to point me in direction of plain english help on this topic. I am computer literate, but not a linux geek!

Normally a wav should play just fine, but I never tried :-)
Some options here:

- install "Extra Decoders Support" package and see if you can then play it
- if that doesn't work: install mplayer and kmplayer, configure kmplayer to use mplayer and then play the wav inside kmplayer
