And if that still doesn't work, find a chicken, a doll, and a needle...
Oh sorry, that probably wont work, but give t-mob a call and tell them for some reason your phone just doesn't work right on the other APN. Tell them its an unsupported device and not a smart phone.

sign up for t mobile then online you can make all the changes , select your phone on t mobile website as a standard phone which can do basic web things like "IM,Web Browsing maybe youtube? it doesnt matter then signup for 10$ internet" but you should ask someone else how much MB or GB you should use a month ;-)

Is it possible to switch my plan to the 'even more plus' (which doesn't have the 2-year contract) and also get the cheaper data plan ($29.99 + $10)? Wouldn't they charge me the $200 ETF fee? Would I still get 3G data with the $10/month plan? I suppose even with the ETF it would be worth it over the next 1.5 years of saving $30/month...

    Thanks for any help!
Depends on when you activated/upgraded. if you upgraded before Oct 25, then you can switch to even more for 35 dollars instead of 200. If you activated after than and it's been more than 14 days since your activation/upgrade, you'll have to pay 200 dollars for the ETF, which covers the fact that you got a discounted phone. At 12 months, that will go down to 100, and IIRC at 18 months that goes down to

By sign up you mean purchase a plan right? Be it contract or pre-paid?
