I find them a bit confusing to be honest... but you can always recompile Vagalume if you really want to use them.
Thanks for your comments anyway
Why do you think that's confusing?
I mean, when you love a song you do thumbs up (up arrow from keyboard), when you hate and want to ban it, you do thumbs down (down arrow), when you want to skip, right arrow, stop, left arrow...
That's a default behaviour...
The main reason I want it is that I mostly use Vagalume at sleep or doing other tasks. Having single keys to do what I need is pratical, since I'll not have to look at the screen...
Just touch the buttons, as I know where they're...
The eSpeak suggestion is because you'll hear a lot of songs you don't know, so it's, again, pratical to know the song without the need of looking at the display.
vagalume has stopped working for me on maemo and easy debian.. i get 'connection error' on maemo and on easy debian it :connects, displays song info and image, but then 'squeaks'!
i've installed the codecs to play 720p, so if nobody else is having a problem, they'll be the main suspect.
it's a rewrite of some of the central gstreamer libraries. but as the concentration was on video playback, maybe the audio bits didn't get as much attention. nobody knows for sure at the moment. pity , as i like libre.fm
