    My apology for doubting.

Coming to Meego but not Maemo. Nokia really are dingleberries.

    Hi Vajid,

We are working with Nokia on Flash Player 10.1 for Meego -- it is up to Nokia on which devices they are deploying this and timing, so you would need to confirm with Nokia their plans for any particular phone. Flash Player 10.1 itself has gone from beta to production ready now and of course each manufacturer has their own operating system and device schedules.

    best,

    Kevin

Nokia's screwing us again. And to think I could have SAVED 70 bucks by getting a Nexus one.

N900 was a test device, I'll sell it and go for the N9 when it comes out, oh well.

You might want to sell it now then. Because when the N9 comes out, the N900 sell price is going drop down even lower. Right now you could probably fetch $300 for it if it's in a good condition.

Yes, since clearly the N9 won't be a "test device" but a polished, super-finished consumer grade device. Not like, you know, the first phone runnng a particular operating system with bugs and missing features, etc, "aimed at enthusiasts".

Big quote from the Adobe announcement.
"Flash Player 10.1 was also released to mobile platform partners to be supported on devices based on Android, BlackBerry, webOS, future versions of Windows® Phone, LiMo, MeeGo and Symbian OS,"

So we finally know that it has been released to Nokia and the holdup lies there and not at Adobe.
I think qole was right when he said that he knew for definate that Maemo will not get 10.1.
The only way the N900 will get 10.1 is through a community released Meego OS if at all.

Tooootally. I mean, they have had it for, like, 8 hours and still no release ! Compare that to Adobe that delayed it only for a year !

PS. For the record, (as already pointed out) the announcement does not mention Nokia AT ALL (nor does any Adobe announcement after Oct 2009). The only sign pointing to Nokia being involved on any level with Adobe Flash is the Kevin Lynch response above.
