Ok a bit of a newbie here, so pls bear with me..

I have Kismet installed on my OS2007 and it appears to be working ok, ie it doesn't stop after 10 secs etc.
However I read you need to edit the config file, how do you do this?

I tried the edit command, but X Terminal doesn't recogize it
also, is there a file manager that alows you to see all the files on it, (kinda like windows)
I have Unbuntu on my laptop and it allows you to browse etc.

thanks

ps, I have read up on kismet, but is there a easy step by step how to?

The easiest way to do this sort of things:

1. Install an ssh server (dropbear)
2. Install Midnightcommander (mc)

mc is a sort of Norton Commander clone and it has a built-in editor, very easy to use, easy to browse.

Then ssh from your computer, start mc and edit your config files.
