What theme are you using? Try one of the default themes, especially if you run PR 1.2, since themes must be updated for the new keyboard in PR 1.2(and most isn't).
EDIT: I didn't realize I was wrong until now(since it works in some apps), sorry

ToJa92 ,I'm currently using the "iStyle Light Theme" but I don't think its the cause. I changed the theme to "Nokia Nseries" as you ordered and rebooted the device but nothing changed, I opened Notes and Web but the keyboard do not appear.
Note: I have another theme installed in the device but I'm not using it its called "NuvoFre", I'm facing this problem before I have installed any of those themes, though. any ideas?

Please people help me, I'm also facing a problem switching Caps lock on and off and the same thing with Fn keys lock, I cant even open the symbols menu

I have the same problem after installing some apps and themes.
I change regional settings to English then back to my native language and problem was fixed.

I'm new at maemo.org and I have a problem, Plus I found out that I'm not the only one... It's an epidemic!
My Virtual Keyboard works with some apps (actually its two apps) otherwise it doesn't work at all. and the apps are:
uRemote and Tweego.
I have noticed that a lot of people are having the same problem by googling a solution for it, found a lot of solutions and tried them but with no outcome.
I hope someone knows how to fix this problem.
P.S. : DO NOT ASK ME "Did you check the virtual keyboard box in settings?" I'm not that dumb to surf over the web searching for a solution without checking the box.
