Before I got my N900, I used a Google android phone. I downloaded a handy little app called 'OI Shopping List'.

It's nothing fancy. You can create multiple lists, cross off items (and delete them from the list or not, that's upto you).

it didn't have an option for inputting prices or anything like that, but I didn't mind. I had multiple lists on there, and I actually used it to keep track of things like books that I wanted to read, and films that I wanted to see. I would cross off each one as I read/saw it, but leave them on the list (just with a line through) so I could keep track.

I realise it doesn't sound like much, but I found it very useful. Is there anything similar out there for the N900?

I am using an application called "Qlister" for that purpose, it is definatly not as feature-rich as the program you mentioned. Basicly you input your the items you want on your list with a simple in-built note editor, back on the mainscreen you can check or uncheck the items you entered.

It is very basic, but fits my needs quite well.

It's in Extras. Not everything's in the Ovi Store, especially for Maemo. Most applications come from the community.

There's 3 shopping cart apps in the devl and testing repositories, they're all advertised as "basic" though. Let me know if you find one that has some pre-defined items (like hundreds of them, not 5)

The one called shopper is like what you're saying, except the fatal flaw for me is that it has like 5 pre-defined items, you would have to spend all day typing in items to make your list
