I'm not sure to understand perfectly the problem. Did you try to see the interface wlan0 with the command ifconfig (you must be log in root)? Did you play with aircrack (airmon-ng start wlan0)?

im also having the same problem. wut do u mean u flashed ur root? i know of flashing firmware and emmc but how do you flash your root.?

I found this recently upon removing my SIM.
Oddly even a "dead" PAYG sim will enable wifi access again.
