Hi everyone i had 2 applications on my HTC Diamond / Diamond 2 that i think are really usefull for the N900's

1st QuickGPS. This uses a small file to check the GPS location and decreases the fix time. Also used on TomTom devices.

And the 2nd was a tweak tool to change the polling time of the GPS sensor to make it more accurate.

About #1, my N900 fixes in 1-3 seconds. Plus the N900 already have short battery time so it would probably decrease further(I assume you mean decreases fix time, not increases).

About #2, the application decides how often to poll. Maep polls for example every second, but is configurable to less frequent intervals. If you had for example 0.5 seconds the battery would drain even faster.
