    boot mint as a livecd and do it that way.
    if not. open terminal: mount /dev/sda or sdc or sdd.
    you shouldnt be having much trouble.

    where in OZ are you? ill send you an sd card setup

    I don't know what to tell you. I thought you had it working before, up to a point. What changed?

    Maybe try a different computer?

    When this happens, either reboot your computer or close everything related to virtualbox, open task manager and kill the process vboxsvc.exe (I think thats the name). Then you can start virtualbox again.

    Ive followed these instructions exactly http://wiki.nitdroid.com/index.php?title=N900-install

    but never got my usb device to connect to mint....?

    so nothing got put onto card.. also tried connecting phone.

    I got to the end of instructions but unsure about the contents of 'android.etc.item' - unsure of location

    I live in Bunbury, WA...

    you can extract the tar.bz2 on n900 itself but its not too simple.

    and the androit.ext.item goes in /etc/bootmenu.d on n900 maemo partition (it adds the bootmenu line for android
