- add the IM protocol symbol (skype, gtalk, fbook...) on the right of the contacts names
- when not connected, the widget could display our different available status that we have predefined in the "status bar" -> "availability", and a click on them would trigger the connection?
Yeah, I was intending on the protocol symbols.
Good idea about the status update too, nice way to make the applet not completely pointless when offline
I was thinking along similar lines.. except I wanted a way of easily switching between available, busy and offline, straight from the desktop. - with maybe an auto connect if offline and selecting available or busy
