i just put everything it says it the help, but im not sure if the settings are correct, plus i dont have anywhere to point it too - I cant get anything onto my phone/sd card
Now, open the package that is in the folder by double clicking. It should look like this:
Step 14
Simply drag the files to the folder you have in the background, which would be the memory card. You may then remove the archive file everything looks alright. Now, to get sound working, type "cd /system/etc", then "wget http://blog.nitdroid.com/asound.conf" if it asks you to replace a file, let it do that. Now you can shut down Linux Mint.
Congratulations! If you did all this right, you should have two partitions on your memory card and should be able to boot NITDroid soon!
did this and all but my only problem is getting files onto phone or sd card.........
ok, so i installed correctly the android 2.1 (2.2 available now ?? is there a way to get it on n900 ? not too buggy ??) on my mobile. i followed nitdroid's wiki page n900 tuto
as it is said that eMMC should be mounted automatically and recognised as the sd card by android... i do not really understand because android is saying to me that there is no sd card mounted...
i heard i should try mountd but i don't know how it works...
thx for helping me i'm writing from my n900 right now lol
so yes, i guess it's the newest, but i doesn't mount ! hmm i think it doesn't mount since android recognises no sd card... right ?
=S
The SD card Android see is the internal ~32GB storage in the N900. The "internal" storage in Android is, in fact, your SD card. I'd try another card if you have one.
yes if you look in sd&phone storage you should see the sd card and internal storage i their - sd card being the internal 27gb part and internal being the ext3 on sd
yeap, i understood that internal storage is my sd card ^^ but why doesn't it mount the 32GB storage as the sd card (the one seen by android, not the one where android is installed) ??
and... i don't have an other sd card :s
