Perhaps a better translation would be "Käänny viistosti oikealle / vasemmalle" ??
Hello Jykke!

Well I don`t really like the word slightly. I think you either turn or not. However, slightly in Finnish is:
1 hieman, 2 jonkin verran, 3 osittain, 4 vähintään, 5 hienoisesti, 6 hiukan, 7 lievästi, 8 vähän. Which one would you prefer?

Stefan

Where can I select which vocal language should be used?
I can only find an option to enable or disable it.
Thanks

Hi!

Unfortunately you can't. If your language isn't in the program it will default to the interlingua.

Stefan.

yep, its difficult word How about "loivasti"? "Käänny loivasti oikealle". Sounds good in my ears.

Remember that the true navigator says so..... Well, its your decision.

Good suggestion Jykke! Loivasti is much better than viistosti. It sounds good in my ears too. I`ll record a new file soon, and post it here.

Here is the new file in Finnish as promised. This time I used 7-zip to compress the file.
Attached Files
File Type: zip Mappero-voice-prompts-fi_FI-ver2.zip (264.0 KB, 164 views)

OK, no proper bug-report but still:
I tried today the german voice-navigation with mappero - it works great, but left and right were interchanged
Can I change it by myself or do I have to wait for the next version?

For which language where they changed? I guess German, as I don't know it :-)

If you can be root in your device, then you can change it yourself:
# cd /usr/share/sounds/mapper
# cd <language code> (we have fi_FI for finnish, en_US for english, de_DE for german)
# mv turn-right.spx tmp
# mv turn-left.spx turn right.spx
# mv tmp turn-left.spx

I hope I didn't make any mistakes, I didn't try this myself! Good luck :-)

Yes, I tried the german voice.
I've changed the files (and also the slight-* ones), but I'll test it tomorrow.

Edit: yes, after moving the files around as suggested, it works great - thanks!

Hi Stefan,
I don't know if I am being stupid, but I can't find out how to get Mappero (version 3.0+beta9) to function with voice navigation, I have looked through the threads, but nothing seems clear, I would like to have Finnish, German or English, I would appreciate if someone could give me an easy and simple "step by step" instruction - hope to hear from someone soon, as Mappero is a great application.
