    Download flash videos directly to n900

    hi there i was wondering if there was any way to download or convert .flv or flash videos from websites directly to your nokia n900. I heard someone say it was possible but i dont know how that can be. if anyone can help please let me know. id appreciate it. and congratulations for everyone that supports this website and is kind enough to respond to all of our issues. thank you

    well if youl want to try get install zoutube, a youtube client it can download youtube videos

    Zoutube is currently not working since youtube changed a few things

    my solution is: wait for the video buffering to end,completly, the go to
    /home/user/MyDocs/tmp

    copy that file to wherever u want and rename it to anything that ends with .flv

    specifically for youtube,there is a better solution
    install easy debian,and install youtube-dl
    read its manpage for additional info

    i wanted to do it not for youtube but for other sites as well like the sites where they stream movies
    or whatever site that has flash movies embedded...
    i want to be able to download and save that movie in my phone is it possible?

    Well, if you have easy debian installed, you can go in iceweasel the debian firefox, go to moduled and plugins, add one called download helper, and after that you'll be able to download any video from any site! if you setup correctly the options of the plugin you'll be able to automatically re encode the video in other format (i.e mp4) and even choose the qulity. I have tested it and it works very well but.... it's a very very very long process! et voila.
