Perhaps Angry Man downloads collapsed servers...

Maybe the ovi store is down or they're performing some type of maintenance. When they had just released the Zen Bound game on the Ovi store, I kept on getting the error that my device was unsupported (I'm in the US, no agent switcher). I waited until the next day and I was able to get on and buy the game.

That's definetely not how it's going here, I am having this problem for a month now. Contacted Nokia Care, Nokia Support. Nothing heard again, only "we're working on it" lol

It happens exactly the same to me here in Spain. Ever since they released the Zen Bound update I cannot access the Ovi Store. The only thing I haven't tryed is reflashing (again) my device.

¿Could it have something to do with the Custom Kernell?

    Solved!

Installed Hide User Agent, and then pressed 'delete' in it, through settings. Can acces the Ovi Store again!

Ovi store is working for me (rather advanced user). my brother has a (nearly) vanilla pr1.2 n900 and CANT access it. says it gives him an "update your software" when calling it from the ovi icon from the menu. we double checked, its definitely updated to pr1.2. i'd understand if i couldnt access ovi store, too; yet i am able without problems, so i cant even troubleshoot.

    any ideas?

I was in the exact situation as your brother is right now. This is how it worked for me:

I updated the firmware version to THE SAME version as I already had. So, in your brother's case, he has to update to P.R. 1.2 AGAIN. after that, my problem with Ovi was gone. Could be coincidence, could be the solution!
