As far as I know, the best telephone program is TAKEphONE.

1. In the upcoming (or the one after) version of horizontal-call you will be able to search also by company.
2. Horizontal-call is free and open-source, takephone is not.
3. I never said horizontal-call was the best

when I use tero650, I fill my contacts with a special way.

I put full name in first name（Such as “张三”）, and put abbreviated name in last name（Such as “ZS”），so, I can fast find “张三”, just input ZS in TAKEphONE.

but Horizontal-call Ignore all my contacts that contain Chinese in first name.

Can you solve this problem?

1ion, It is ofc not my intention of sounding rude, so please don't be offended - but do you even read my answers?
I wrote, to you, 4 posts above this one - Thats it's a known limitation in QtMobility, I also wrote on the 1st post that it is a limitation I cannot alter, and I am waiting for the solution to come with mobility 1.0.1

Unless you can speed that up, it's entirely not up to me, or you.

When this is solved, you will be able to type the minimum number of needed chars in last / middle / first name, and the contact will appear by itself.
If you have a few contacts starting with the same letters, they will all appear and with 1 click you will be able to select the contact to see it's details, and 1 more click to call

No. Sadly if I try to get any text of a contact that is not English, I only get corrupted text, displaying that would just mean trouble.

I also want to be able to use my Native language, Hebrew, and I can't, cause of the very same bug

As far as I know, they fixed it long ago, but the version that includes the fix has not been released yet.

You can search google for it, maybe you will find. QtMobility 1.0.1

Hi!

I have tried your app few times and it feels quite good and responsive.

Here are few ideas I have for simplifying the UI:
- no need for exit -button: can be done via fullscreen (or power button etc).
- no need for the x/y information - I really dont know why I would need to know, if my contact is the 23th of 234 or not? Makes a lot of noise to the UI.
- search -bar to the bottom of the screen. This is more common way and works better when non-fullscreen mode.
- change buttons to icons

This way you can fit all the buttons in one line. Also in portrait mode.
