i think people who WANT other people to know about them and what they do or anything just to be 'known' are really happy about this... gives them a real good chance to meet their goal
for me privacy is a real issue nowadays when mass control techniques are being developed and implemented more thoroughly in everything
and yes, i am paranoid if thats how you call this

@atilla Agree with your message but not the lack of tact in delivery.

It's a bit of a jip that the thing sends and unauthorised text message... but seriously... who pays for SMS anyway and why does it matter? I'd say it's worth a mention but not worth the massive over reaction and al a carte privacy outrage. It's not the worst thing ever and there are far bigger problems with the N900 that deserve genuine debate and thought.

Nokia are a business and have chosen a path of using the OSS community phenomenon to reduce their overheads specifically after sales support and development. Unlike Apple who do the opposite and make a killing from their Applications store.
