Is there any application or way to send sms by typing it on computer and send it...by connecting N900 via USB cable..

Like it used to be in Nokia PC Suite..connect phone to computer via USB and read the incoming/outgoing SMS on PC

Doesn't that work in PC Suite anymore? I have not tried so obviously I don't know.

No..it doesn't...i tried with latest OVI suite..(PC Suite)..

many instant messengers will send/receive SMS for free. yahoo messenger for ex does that

the AT command set works on the n900 like older nokia phones, either bluetooth or usb, remember to select pc suite mode on usb attach. I used minicom and googled for what AT commands to type, gnokki probably works as a gui in Linux, no idea about Windows.

thanks damion...but i dont know much about AT commands..i can connect my nokia n900 to PC by USB in PC Suite mode..

I will be thankful if u can tell me lil more in details..though I am trying myself to google it and find the solution...
