Is the above done on the terminal ON Android phone?
All you want is the /system/app folder compressed?

cd /system/app
tar -cf /system_app.tar

I would like to ask, do you think that loading android on my n900 will it be worth it? is it better than maemo? or is it just a proof thing still.

A quick answer. It's worth it, IF you want to test and attempt to help.
We are all just helping test and annoy the developers.
It's still in a VERY premature stage.
It's not something stable that you can play with all day.

But worth it if you enjoy that kind of thing

kingoddball jus get me a copy of the instaled apps and also a logcat of tryingto install soemthign from market - ill sort you a ftp account if ya need somewhere to throw files

dj_steve, I know you are very busy with other things but are you or e-yes working on getting it to boot withoud rd mode?
It would be great to be able to boot without needing a pc nearby =)
