Could be the wi-fi power-saving timeout settings on the N800 itself.
Try lengthening or shortening them.

I'm having a problem and I hope that I can get some insight into a solution. I'll try to give the simplified scenario.
I have a N800 and it connects ok to a Linksys WRT54G. Whenever I start streaming an Internet radio channel (eg. sky.fm, BBC) using media player it disconnects after a few minutes with error messages - "media stream not found at given location" and "unable to perform operation. Try again.". Often I have to disconnect and re-connect. Browsing websites is not a problem and I don't loose connection.
I've tried the suggestions in other threads but to no avail and curiously, unlike other persons, stream radio doesn't solve my connectivity problem
Thanks.
