The current YouTube App offerings are poor and know one appears to agree =/

ZouTube and Mytube have both been on my device and removed after a short period of time they are imo 'make do' apps because we have nothing else.

This is the N900 the all singing and dancing device !

A new youtube app is needed for the N900 websites are great but it would be nice to have an App for this use.

Ideas:

Ease of Finger Touch (Large ish buttons for when on the move)

Search option, Favourites, Highest rated (usual candidates on the main screen)

Once a video has been viewed an email option which when clicked will put the link to the youtube.com/videoname in the body of an email so it can be emailed to a contact.

Video Download Option

Pleasing UI & Ease of use with the touch screen

Full screen playback whether its stretched or not full screen is pretty much a dead cert !

I think enough people on here agree the current offerings are poor and some of the development work and applications to come from this community have been absolutely stunning recently.
