Don't worry, I know about Audacity, been using it for years!
I'll definitely try to implement your idea!

Edit:
for the germany background you can use this:

I'm thinking of integrating some country flags. If I do so, i promise Germany will be one of them!

I'm sad to hear that. What version do you have? The first few I added to the repo had a typo which prevented the app from launching.

I'd suggest you uninstall, refresh the App Manager and install the latest version, which is 0.2-3

Also, if you still want to to run it from the command line,do this:

-> root (be careful what you do now! )
-->cd /opt/vuvuzela
--> python vuvuzela.py

Let me know how it goes!

Maybe I could include the last 8 still in game?

Sounds good because I need one for Ghana.

Just to let you know, I uploaded 0.2-5 a few minutes ago so try updating whenever you can, give it an hour or so.

I've tried to loop the sound so now you can play the Vuvuzela for longer without having to press the button!

I know the sound is not perfect but if anyone thinks they can do a better job, please do and post it here so I can update the app

The original file is here

An idea you could think about:
Make the app listen for a heavy sound using the mic, so that if you make a sound (goal is to blow in the end), then it starts playing the horn.
Of course you can't make the app listen _only_ for the sound of blowing, but it can be done more or less.

EDIT: You should probably create it as an option, to turn on.

There is one on the iphone, it has different flags around the outside (quite small) then a large vuvu in the middle which is coloured depending on the flag you click on.

You could try that.
