Slightly corrected... the 'no names' seem to be company names (so they wont have a normal name only a company name but they still come up in the default app).
However I have a couple of foreign numbers in my phone book, with names, and by inspecting all of the 'no names' in your app, those particular contacts dont even appear.

But I decided that you might take it wrong and consider it rude
So, the current algorithm is as following :
I inspect EVERY contact in the address book, and check the following :
- If the contact name has NONE english chars in the name I don't display it. (WHY? Read the 1st post.)
- If the contact HAS a number and is not ruled out by the previous condition, I display it's displayLabel, which is actually the 1st and last name combined.
- If there is no name to display, It changes to no name.
I never imagined someone having a company name without a first or last name
It's a nice bug what you found.
As for some foreign contacts not displaying, look at the 1st post,
it's a qt bug, I am anxious for it to be solved. (They already fixed it, but have not distributed the version with the fix yet to the N900.)

Ah, make sense now! Didn't read all of post 1, it was rather large!
I have contacts such as 'Dentist' and 'Vets', which obviously dont have a firstname, surname, I normally use company name to just put it in.

If (noDisplayName()) {
use company name instead
}
and ofc all other options if company name is also none existing...
And i'll move around some stuff in the 1st post. It is rather large (:

I cannot install the new update (0.7-6) because of "dpkg (subprocess): unable to execute post-installation script: No such file or directory"

In the mean time, use 0.7-5, or try installing 0.7-6 with
Code:
apt-get update apt-get install horizontal-call

i installed 0.75 version of horizontal calls but I cant see the keyboard at all.. that area remains blank and if i tap on the text box for searching then the regular n900 keyboard opens in landscape mode
