Obviously, there is something wrong with your setup. I would list my problems (not here, for yourself) and reflash, including eMMC. Then, before restoring the backup, I would see if the problems still exist. My bet is that they don't. Then I would slowly put my system back together, watching to see if the problems return.
Ok sounds like a plan! I don't have the foggyest how to reflash tho? If theres a "how to" anywhere could u post me a link so i can try it out. Was hoping it wouldn't come to this but everyone else seem to be buzzin off faster phones n stuff. i'll back up n hopefully reflash tomorrow if someone shows me the way. Cheers

Not if you flash the eMMC, since that's where all the programs live.

Flash instructions are here. You'll want to look at your system settings "About" listing to see what version you have installed now (US/UK/global/etc) and flash the right image, and be sure to get the PR1.2 version.

I was worried about this when I upgraded to PR1.2, since I had configured the crap out of mine in 1.1.1. I was lucky enough to only have one minor glitch, which I fixed by reverting one settings file to it's original state (I save most with a .orig file before altering them.)

Good luck!

Just because there are only 2 types of responses:
1. You're troll, stop posting.
2. Yes, we have the same problem.

And there are *no any responses from nokia* or problem solving.

I read a lot of topics with whining and totally agree with postres -- there are many problems and no any light except "nah, it's work for me".

If it does work for you it's does not mean it works for others.

If i do a backup on my phone and then flash the emmc will i be able to restore my contacts n stuff? As in, will they still be in my backup? Also what about my photo's will they still be there, i'm not bothered about applications coz i'll just install them again. Never done this before so sorry for all the questions. Is flashing emmc a bit like putting a fresh windows on a pc? Formatting hard drive and reinstalling the OS? Thanks again

So, all the posts saying to re-flash the emmc - which solves the problem - you missed those?

Reflashing don't solve the bugs. And there is no comments from nokia.

For example, broken layout changes in (not only) Contacts. Welcome Nokia to i18n world.

There's a third option; don't respond.

Still not got round to upgrading to Pr 1.2...

I was happy with my fone when I got it, I looked at the improvements/ bug fixes and there's nothing really in there that I'm bothered about. I'll do it when I feel I'm losing out by running 1.1*, not just because 'it's the latest version'..

*which will be either if the next version of psx4-m requires, or if I delve in and start developing. Whichever comes first.. (I'd put my money on psx4m...)
