What is it you want your N800 to do?

First thing's first though...update the firmware to the latest version which is Skype-enabled.
Then install the new microb web browser beta.
Then install the new SIP telephony beta.
Search around in here for more info on all those things.

I've heard a lot about SIP what is it and were can I learn more. As far as what I want it to do. I would like to use it for multimedia playback, messaging, email, view docs. Interface with my tversity server and browse the web as best as I can. I don't care much for skype as no one I know uses it. I prefer the simple Gtalk over it anyways. To Update I have installed the latest firmware and download MicroB from the Maemo website. How do I add repositories so I can just view installable apps from the application manager

Install 'simple_launcher' (or alternatively 'idea') so that you can launch favourite apps directly from home screen icons.
