It looks way more polished and finished in the video than what I was expecting.

I bought an N900 last week. It should be here this week. If I see comments that Meego is half way stable/usable, I am going to skip the whole Maemo experience and jump right to Meego.

I'm itching to develop some apps that use Bluetooth and the GPS. Can I start doing this now ?

    Thanks !

    i really wonder about this:

    Supported Hardware
Aava Mobile Intel Moorestown platform EV2
Aava Mobile Intel Moorestown platform DV1

Anybody said Meego Development is useing the N900 as Development Device. So is the Supported Hardware not the N900 anymore this would be really bad for us i guess..

kernel 2.6.35(-rc3) has huge performance regressions. As the weeks go on meego will update the kernel and performance should improve a lot.

It was said in earlier announcements that the N900 is no longer being support while devs are using it for testing MeeGo, so while the bits are there i guess its up to us to make it work fully..

Kinda a suck, that nokia is just ditching the N900...

nokia could be in the backseat. Intel infront and driving. Not good for n900 if that's is the case.

See earlier post by w00t. Btw how does good news generate so much FUD? This a pre-alpha release. I am actually shocked that it looks so functional.

Im guessing they are putting a lot of overdrive into this....

which is fine and all, i just hate their ditching the N900.. specially if most of what's needed is there to fully support it...
