Well, here's my first proper attempt at drawing on mypaint... if I'd drawn this on paper I wouldn't be particularly pleased about it but it's quite impressive what can be done with this app (certainly judging from some of the stuff on this thread).
What I found most difficult was keeping an eye on the 'bigger picture' as it were...zooming in to do one bit and not being able to see the rest of the image like you do if you're drawing on paper.
this is what i have been working on lately. but after upgrading to PR1.2.. its a bit problematic. probably because i use NSU to upgrade instead of manual flash..
probably after flashing my phone, i will continue with it..
This is my first real attempt at painting... I was inspired after a recent video on My Nokia Blog by Tone, using Mypaint; if you guys havent seen them I highly recommend taking a look, they're jaw droppers! Here's a link:
This thread is a calming and rejuvenating oasis in this forum where the negative vibes is growing lately. Thanks to everyone here for sharing their artwork and creativetone for the excellent tools!
@johnel: actually I've seen some pretty darn good artwork and tools from the capacitive camp too. Check these out:
I think that all of those demonstrations are more proof that styluses aren't obsolete than that resistive is better than capacitive.
I'm only drawing with MSpaint on the PC and on paper right now, because my N900 is in repairs and also because I can't wrap my head around MyPaint's software D:
