ok a few problems with tethering and networking

n900 running titans 1.2 power kernel



BLUETOOTH
XP SP3
i cant access pc suite through my bluetooth but N900 can access the computer fine

i have setup my bluetooth modem settings and inputted
at+cgdcont=1,"IP","your_apn"

then created a dialup network with the bluetooth modem and it
opens ports, dials
then errors out on dialing
what do i have to put in the username and password and dial number

also i have a pan option to connect to and can connect to the AP option but cant access the internet with it??

it seems like there should be an easier way to set it up but im not getting a pre setup dun in the network and connection folder
have i missed something?

i have read the wiki but still have had no success


Mobile hotspot
i open mobile hotspot and have problems getting it 2 start (internet connection failed) and then if i can get it 2 start, nothing can see my hotspot yet i can see it on the fone??

and only once i have been able to see the fone on the laptop it wont even connect it just trys till it times out


Joikuspot

currently i have joikuspot working fine

but would like my router to be able to access the fones hotspot and distribute it over my network but the router cant seem to pick up my fone
any1 know what could be happening??

yes that is correct with certain routers and dd-wrt firmware the router can receive signals and rebroadcast them and distribute over the lan

So you want the N900 to act as a gateway on your home router? I was hoping Joikuspot would support this too, but I don't think it's able to. I was able to do this with WmWifiRouter on my old WinMo phone (it had the added advantage that I could then use WPA2 encryption on the phone, I'm guessing because the router took some of the load off the phone).

It would be great if Joiku would implement this, it's the one thing missing...

mobile hotspot is working for me now its had the update but i cant use it as a gateway on the router

and can anyone help me with the bluetooth problem...?
