I've once had to kill qspot with command 'killall -9 qspot' to get it start up again. It hang loading playlist and I closed the program but it stayed running in background.

Thank you vey much for your feedback. I will definitely look into this, up to this point I have not been able to reporduce the problem. I have been thinking about adding caching support for playlists etc. at some point to QSpot, this could also help to some extent. I will also look into why QSpot is left running in the background, requiring it to be explictly killed.

Concerning the support for high / low bit-rate options in QSpot, the current version uses by default the 160k track versions, as this currently is the only supported option in libopenspotify. I intend, however, to try to implement support for high bit-rate alternative as well in a future version..

QSpot is currently in very early stages, so stability issues are to be expected (e.g., songs not playing etc. are known issues). However, these problems are being looked into. Have you noticed that QSpot is using significantly more cpu compared to other players?

QSpot version 0.0.3-4 is now available from extras-devel and the project garage page. This version is a bug-fix release, which fixes a memory management problem in the QSpot GUI (wrong track possible played in certain circumstances).

New version is far more unstable than previous one for me. So many times after first song application crashes.
Feature I'm missing is when you search artist/album and you tap on albums name it would be great if only songs from that certain album is moved to "Now playing" list - not every song in search result after my choise.
Keep up good work man !

edit: and ofcourse when you tap in search result artists name songs from that artist moves to "Now playing" queue and if tapping certain song only it goes to "Now playing". Hope you understand what I mean

As previously stated, the instability issues are known, and work is in progress to fix them.. The bug-fix should not have any impact for the worse on the stability. With what type of internet connection are you using QSpot when you experience the crashes?

Separate album and artist views will be added to QSpot, i.e., by clicking on an album name a separate view will be opened with only tracks from the selected album. The same goes for clicking on the artist column. Thank you very much for your comments, they are very valuable!

It indeed seems to be an issue with automatic changing of tracks in the latest version. I will try to fix this issue, and upload a new version as soon as possible. Thanks to Salatheel for pointing out this issue!
