I updated and I had to select the theme still, but thats okay
Yeah, noticed that there's still no workaround for that, so edited my post above right after posting it.
Bumbed version 2.003 to devel, just tuned the setup wizard a bit so that user won't get that "reboot is recommended" -message if he doesn't have Plastic Theme currently active. Instead he gets just "Settings saved" -message.
I don't want to sound ungrateful because I really like this theme, it gets better and better. I was a tad surprised to see the config option on the settings screen. Probably there is nowhere else to stick it, so I understand the logic for placing it there, though just wondering what will happen when everyone starts doing this? It'll get quite busy in there - maybe another install option to leave no 'settings' entry? : )
Okay, I'm nitpicking, seriously it's not a negative at all, and indeed I actually do appreciate the effort you're putting in - even in real life - and even though we are complete strangers.
im sorry but im thinking the opposite way....i am hoping for all my themes to get customizable in just a click (no updates/re-install) like the black plastic. i know it will flood on the "settings" but atleast not on the repos

Thanks again.
You didn't sound ungrateful
You have a point there, but I don't think that the situation will build up like that or how big will the problem actually be; I already have tons of extra icons under settings -page and I don't find it annoying or messing anything up etc.

I guess there could be a framework for themes advanced settings - i.e. one applet in Settings which provides a UI which multiple themes can plug into.
