Hey is it just me but sometimes the ringtones assigned to my groups are what play when the calls from members of the group come in. Other times its my general ringtone. I don't know if I did something wrong or if that's just a bug

I'll give you an idea.. what about creating a smaller widget that don't use all the desktop? Actually, I need only to have 4 "fast" contact available on desktop, and probably other people are in the same situation

I can't install it since it says " libqtm-contacts " is missing. How can I resolve this?

There is a chance that the application can't change the symlink to point to the group file ringtone before the "phone" start playing the file. I haven't seens and haven't heard any other reports but it is surely possible and I would GUESS even more so if you have a lot of applications/daemons running.

Look into the the log file @ /home/user/.mycontacts/log.txt - it will list each call and if the application found the calling number on one of the groups or not. Please let me know what you find out.

you will need to install libqtm-contacts manually first using the x terminal as root:
Code:
apt-get install libqtm-contacts
once you are there already you may want to install mycontacts from there too:

Code:
apt-get install mycontacts

Anybody else experiencing the same issue is also welcome.

The custom ringtone work perfectly for me. It's actually louder than N900 default sound. Perfect. Now I know if a girl, family, guy, or unknown are calling me. That is a start. Hopefully, there will be more groups (sorry if it's already mentioned) or linking SMS with ringtone too in the future.

Looking forward to the smaller version.

Thanks man.

New Version submitted to repository - 0.8.7.2-1

Main changes with this release (check change log page for details):
  • Setting to change number of contacts per group
  • Using new version of backend that should fix ADR bug and be quicker
  • Application will keep running in the background even if you don't install the applet.

Please drop me a note if you had issues with the ADR bug before telling me if it this release has fixed (or not) the issue.
