I just finished porting GNU Go to maemo thanks to the help of a few individuals in #maemo on Freenode. Any comments are welcome - check it out at http://www.tehmatix.net/

Turns out packaging was the most difficult part.

I'd like to start porting some more apps, although I'd like to steer clear of GTK apps for now, thinking of mutt and tin (would be nice to get a REAL mail and news reader on the 770 ) Any suggestions are welcome.

I have been wanting a version of Go for my 770, this fills the void nicely. The computer sure does think for a long friggin' time though.

Thanks for the porting - wish I could port something.

    Most impressive!
And you found porting the app to be relatively easy?

    LVBTKB:

Although I don't play go, and even opening X Terminal would kill my 770, I still want to thank you for giving us another app. More is always better, even if it's stuff I can't personally use.
