Ah, good point! Of course!

Hm, do you think bundling the icons with the executable using Qt's resource framework is more trouble than it's worth? I'm toying with a suitable patch, and it seems quite reasonable...

Have you seen :
http://gitorious.org/lbt/shopper/trees/master/src/data

These should be handled by debian/shopper.install

Edit : Oh, wait... nm... patches (or merge requests on gitorious) welcome

Hm, yes, I saw the debian/rules file used maemo-optify, but I think this is the problem... The code itself (e.g. http://gitorious.org/lbt/shopper/blo.../mainwindow.cc line 57 and others) uses absolute paths rooted in /usr to find the icons, and so won't work after optification.

Edit: Oh, just saw your edit -- I'll be happy to send you a merge request

A few tiny fixes applied and we're on 0.5.9-2 now.

Just tried it. Maybe I failed at understanding the user interface, but is it correct that you have to create the categories for each new list?

@wildt: Could you read http://shopper.garage.maemo.org/help.html and let me know if it's still unclear please.

You can get there from the About/Help menu too

I just installed Shopper and I am having an issue importing a new list. I created a file as instructed in the help (plain text and using 3 spaces for the indented items) and copied it to the N900.

However, when I click on Save/Load/New then Import. I can not find the file I want to import.

Does the file need to have a particular extension on the end?

I tried "shoppinglist.txt" and just "shoppinglist".

Edit: I found it.

Solution: Must use .xml as the extension.

Hi dastagg

Yes, it looks like it needs to end in ".xml" - and since it's plain text that's daft. I'll fix that.

Was waiting for such app for my N900. I just installed it a day ago. However I'm not able to save the changes. I assume it would save automatically when you close the app. I tried save as but every time it is going to different folder.

Yeah I am also having that rather annoying problem.
