As mentioned at bug report 6368 (https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6368) there is a patch for the current release which could be the solution for the remaining pbap-problems.

http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/m...0openbossa.org

I don't have a working compilation environment. Is it possible that someone could provide a new obexd binary, please. I would be eager to test it.

Linux is case sensitive so the path should be /home/user/MyDocs. Also the leading / is important. Otherwise the path is relative to current loacaton.

The debug file is not created since mydocs-directory does not exist.

hcidump -w /home/user/MyDocs/a is the correct form.

Thank you for helping us!

You can return to previous version as described on post #86 or #75

eg

apt-get install libopenobex1=1.4-0maemo3+m5
apt-get install obexd=0.18-0maemo5+0m5

How and why to use hcidump is described on post #80

Jarmo,

The attached file is a patched copy of the openobex library. After extracting the lib and copying it to your phone, open a root terminal a copy it to /usr/lib. Before replacing the old one make a backup copy of your current one...
Code:
cp /usr/lib/libopenobex.so.1.5.0 /usr/lib/libopenobex.so.1.5.0.old
cp /path/to/new/library/libopenobex.so.1.5.0 /usr/lib
Nothing new is happening on my end with this patched lib...hope it helps you!

Side note to everyone, today was my first day back at work and we're very busy. As such, I won't be able to devote very much time to this for a while. I'll be checking back here and the git repos for updates and to help where/when I can.

my N900 can connect to my car, I could not but it was my mistake.
What is happening is that I keep having the same problem and access to contacts, besides that I do not have 3G network.
and what I did was install hcidump, then I managed to access the folder and run the packages.
Now what do I do? Uninstall everything?

What you did is correct.

Asgif, you installed three new packages. Openobex and obexd packages try to add a working pbap-protocol to your N900. These take care of how contacts are transferred to the car.

Hcidump is a program to diagnose what happens between your phone and your car. It is not needed during normal operation.

These packages should not have any effect to your 3g connectivity.

It is a pity that the current new packages did not solve your problem. As you can see we are getting new versions from time to time. Let's hope one of them could solve your connectivity problem.

If you can connect to your car it would help if you could provide a hcidump file from your environment. The procedure is described on post #80.
