Hi All,

Are there chances of bricking my N900 while flashing the device.

The reason is the N900 Indian variant does not have the Skype application pre-installed and neither can be installed seperately.
So I thought I would flash it to the Global version.

Please assist.

The N900's practically unbrickable. If something goes wrong, just start the process over. And it's safe to flash with the global firmware.

BTW it might not have Skype installed because of India's ******ed laws about making communications accessible to the government

There's always a chance, but it's very slim. I'm pretty sure the cold-boot functionality (allowing reflashing starting from a powered-off state) isn't rewritten when flashing, so it should almost always be possible to use that to recover.

I can confirm without a doubt using the flasher utility it is IMPOSSIBLE to truly brick the N900.
