I merely say what a lot of people are feeling and thinking.

Since this isn't contributing to the thread, I'll stop now.

fbreader + rotatedaemon -> instant reboot after turning to portrait.

fbreader works just fine with ctrl+shift+R

Not sure if anyone has posted this finding, but after locking device I would normally press the power button once to get 'swipe to inlock'. Doing this in portrait mode reboots device.

w00t: Check out hildon-desktop-2.2.138/src/util/hd-util.c function hd_util_change_screen_orientation. It does a lot more than just the XRandR... maybe it would be better to adapt this function hd_util_change_screen_orientation so it can also do the flip-over thing.

If we can make all icons and rearranging them according to the rotation then it would be awesome. The only downside is we can't

But rotating all 4 directions is unnecessary.

I don't have a lot of time available to look into things like this. Any chance you'd want to look into it? I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have along the way.

I think it's useful myself. Doesn't matter which orientation I pickup the device from.
