Sign of getting older:

In my teens I carried a condom in a small compartment of my wallet in case I 'got lucky'

In my forties, now a happily married man, that same compartment carries a spare, fully-charged, genuine battery for my N900 - in case I get unlucky...

... and bit like that condom, I have to report that the battery rarely gets used...

That's true for the batteries in all previous Maemo devices, but the BL-5J in the N900 is Li-Ion.
