can you share internet over it if you don't have 3G? Like can you share 2.5G?

Does it work now? I tried the beta when it first was pre-released and it never really worked.. Kind of forgot about the subject until the open source "Mobile Hotspot" came out, which has sometimes needed a reboot to start working, has still ended up working with either 3g or gsm speeds. Interface is incredibly basic and simple too.
Does joikuspot work now? And does it have any extra functionality to make it competitive?

Fyi. the joikuspot is running hot on N900 as well, and its SSID is annoying Joikuspot_xxx, so I used Mobile Hotpot instead. However, there's some other probelm with Mobile Hotspot, so I use a script to create a wifi hotspot. Granted the script is not user-friendly but it's battery-friendly.
this is for all n900 users with joikuspot and use it for wireless 3g tethering.
i dont use joiku for my n900 but i have it on my n86. my n86 gets very hot after an hour! is this normal?
if i did help you, just click "Thanks" on the lower right of my post. thanks!
