Can you and if so how. Change the background of the music applet under mediaplayer?
regarding the media player, i changed it's background, thank you. i did notice the default flicks up first and then my one loads over. this suggests the real one is loaded elsewhere and then searching for theme options. hope it makes sense, where is the default found to change?
There are image caches which are cleared when you switch themes so try switching themes, re-booting then switching back.

    Kind Regards,

    1. download this file, remove '3' from filename.
    http://my.arava.co.il/~matan/770/n90...ildon_desktop3
    2. copy to root dir of phone and disconnect phone from pc
    3. open xterm, type:

    sudo gainroot [enter]
    cd /home/user/MyDocs [enter]
    chmod a+x hildon-desktop [enter]
    mv /usr/bin/hildon-desktop.launch /usr/bin/hildon-desktop.launch.org [enter]
    mv hildon-desktop /usr/bin/hildon-desktop.launch [enter]

    4. Install "dbus-scripts.deb" FILE ATTACHED

    5. Copy http://my.arava.co.il/~matan/770/n900/kf/hdk-scripts to /etc/dbus-scripts.d

    6. Copy http://my.arava.co.il/~matan/770/n900/kf/hdk to /usr/local/bin (making sure it is executable)

<shift><ctrl>H takes you to home screen.
LEFT and RIGHT keys change desktops
    <shift><ctrl>f launches FBreader
<shift><ctrl>b opens a new browser window, and a few other shortcuts.

    # in the application menu (launcher) and window switcher:
    q - selects the top left thumbnail/icon
w - selects the top, second from left
    ...
a - selects the left of the second row

And so on. In addition, in the window switcher pressing shift or FN together with the letter closes the window instead of moving to it.

Currently configuring shortcuts is by editing the python script /usr/local/bin/hdk.

On one hand I do think its meaningless for me in that case of N900's perfect touchscreen.
On the other hand ,if I can type more frequently used icons ,I would like to try.

Some new desktops for those interested, one white based (Form) and one black based (Liquid), with assciated desktop files. Download the file to your phone / PC, unzip into the /home/user/MyDocs/.images folder.

    Enjoy.....

    Transparent Shortcut Applet.zip

    The path should be this:

    Dousan,
Thanks mate. Should I also use this renamed for the pressed button?
I actual recall this file and downloaded it with others a few days back, once opened I couldn't recall what it was for or where to go and then couldn't find the post, yeeks.

Thank you both (Dousan & D4rKarl)

Lads, I think Iforgot to upload the battery icons the other day along with the cell status.... Just been back to my previous post and they weren't there, cos I've just updated Black Plastic and lost them all so was going through a reconfig of it all..... Find them attached to the bottom of this post, sorry for not getting them up in the first place...... <blush>

Not quite sure where theygo in a standard config because mine go into
    Code:
    /usr/share/icons/black-plastic-icons/scalable/hildon
Anyone care to enlighten the rest of the standard placement for this set of icons, ie: battery level and cell status???

    Cheers

    You're welcome

If you don't want any effect when button's pressed then yes rename it and put it instead of renamed. I did that and found it a bit wierd and not 'alive' some how and changed the pressed one back to show when shortcut icon was pressed...

    Lol short term memory
