Hey I was in the process of installing several different apps on my nokia 770 when it starting giving me the "Operation failed" notice. Nothing shows up at all when i click on 'show installed applications' nor does anything show up from Catalog. The message I got from the log was

osso-application-installer 4.22.1, UI version 1
E: Malformed line 15 in source list/etc/apt/sources.list (dist parse)
E: The list of sources could not be read.

If anyone can help me out on fixing this, I'd very much appreciate it!

p.s - I am decently tech-literate but haven't yet found out how to reflash or do any 'too difficult' stuff.. so yeah thanks for the help!

Same here.
I just got the "Operation failed" notice and now have the same problem.
"Nothing shows up at all when I click on 'show installed applications' nor does anything show up from Catalog."

i figured out how to flash and the problem went away.
