Would depend on what other devices were out there and whether my insurance policy is a "like for like" replacement or just pays out at the value of the phone.
Yes, I would buy another one. Even at the launch prices, though that would make my heart bleed. There is just no way any other device at the moment could replace it. I'm not too hopeful about the N9-00, either. Perhaps Meego will be jut some crap limiting the user too much in the name of "usability". Luckily, mine is fully insured.
No, I would make no attempts to rescue the wet device. Even if it worked flawlessly after drying. There's just too big a risk that it would fail later. Especially as my insurance policy pays a lot worse for 2+ years old devices.
