Hi just saw at Engadget this nice video about the new comming mobile Windows 7 and i want to discuss a little about the Ui.

In my Opinion its a clear maybe a little to "simple" ui but it seems to be very functional. They dont use Widgets but i guess this will comming.

looks pretty intersting. Like to test it so I need Win7. since they have their office suit I need at least one windows phone. doubt we will see any perfect (office)editing sw for meego.

huh. looks great.
i wish we had such responsiveness and speed on maemo.
if i'm leaving maemo/meego anytime, i'll propably do it for a winmo7 phone.

i love the "non-visual visuals" too. very minimalistic and stylized.

/edit: obviously, the text is a problem for some backgrounds.
easy solution: give all text on front of custom wallpapers a 1pixel-black-border.

I don't like it.

Basically, the text presented on the UI doesn't fit on the screen. This way you'll have to scroll around all the time to see where you are.

General is for "Relevant topics not tied to a specific program, OS or device. Post here if you can't find a better place."

Basically General is Nokia/maemo-related that doesn't fit in a specific category, Alternatives is for other OSes that run on NIT hardware, Competitors is for other OSes and device threads, or Off Topic.

This probably should go in competitors, but i have no mod powers in General.

Oh to me it looks just plain ugly. I would not be surprised if this platform will follow Kin into abyss in some foreseeable future. I mean look how "well" Zune took off and where it is now...
