It was some Open Source Flash IDE very simple indeed, based on Open Source Flex SDK. There are sources for Linux as well. As far as I know whole IDE is based on GTK runtime. I took a look at the code and mostly is pure Action Script. There is also some custom compiler implemented with ability to produce swf.
Do you think would be possible port this solution to N900? Since we have ability to run any .swf (v9) locally. That would be very useful.
Another one thing... instead of dealing with drag and drop components what about simple code editor and flash compiler based on that solution?
Hope there is somebody skilled enough to deal with this or at least give me the answer if that is even possible.
Even if I could see any kind of free compiler on any linux system would be the big step forward.
The paradox is, there is a lot of Open Source tools for Flash for OSX and Windows. There is 0 for Open Source Linux. Instead we have javas pythons and half of the jungle and Linux developers shouting on Flash without realizing that if you could attract Flash developers there is another big bunch of people that could switch for Linux with pleasure. And it wasn't difficult to do so for Windows or OSX guys years ago.\

That's my pain if I am sitting useless on the Tube (couple of hours per day). Not carrying laptop because I have mobile computer in a pocket and don't need a sit to play around. BUT... yea... In fact there is no mobile device can handle that at the moment. This one can be first with all its potential. But looks like Linux hate flash as much for not being open as missed couple of facts and sleep over past 4 years.
Shame that somebody on Linux trying to reproduce Flash IDE rather than proper developer environment first. Just editor and compiler. Nothing else. Or just a compiler! You have access to couple of solutions actually. And I'm even happy with Leaf and x-term .
I wondering about another one issue. If you playing swf file from local directory it's triggering microB and required any kind of connection even if not necessarily making unable to play swf. Or I have something messed up on my N900?
