How long are you planning on keeping your n900 for?

I'm afraid that it will be awhile till something like the N900 comes again. I still play with the N800 and N810 sometimes. If someone makes a bigger tablet with Linux I would like that -- the N810 seemed so luxurious when I was using it yesterday -- but I will still return to the N900 sometimes.

Some OS besides Linux would be fine, too.

I agree completely. This was the main reason I bought one.

Normally I give my old phones to my mother but I think the N900 could fry her brain. Ill probably buy a new phone in 2012 and keep this one as a portable SNES console.

Until something a lot better comes along (*much* more ram , which will probably take at least two years.

For me, the one thing really holding this beast back is RAM: how it would fly with two gig.... Otherwise, it has everything I need and then some.

until my contract ends in may, then it will be the N9 if it's any good, or hopefully htc have taken note of the consumer and make the htc 1 a reality, but i doubt that is going to happen.

I sent mine in for repair and i already miss it. I felt cripple without it. I am curretnly using my e71 which i love as well but my n900 is where all my social netoworking, entertainment, and mods/hacks are at.

As long as it works. I've said it before and I will say it again: the N900 is the best mobile device I have ever owned (and the list is long). The N900's a keeper for me.

I'm keeping my N900 until someone pays me 400 to take it off my hands. Either that or until a good WP7 phone comes out, so prolly til november.
