Perhaps someone else could create the proposal for me.

Anyway preamble over, I'm a keen fighting game fan, Street fighter II and the like, the n900 is easily powerful enough to run the early to mid 90'S arcade titles like Street Fighter II, Mortal Kombat Metal Slug etc and there are many emulators for them, some which are open source.

What are the chances of getting, Neo Final Burn Alpha, MAME or Kawaks on the system?

Also like any Arcade fan I have an arcade stick, My current stick is the Madcats Tournament edition Round 2.

It connects via a standard large usb cable, Would it be possible to connect it to an n900 via a converter like this

To Cut a long story short:

Arcade machine emulators: MAME, Neo final burn alpha
Feasibility of using an arcade stick as method of control.

If someone could post that in brainstorm I would also be grateful.

I use qik on my n900 to stream tournaments and it would be great to show off games running on it.

MAME has been ported and is available via Application Manager. As for the other two, why don't you port them to Maemo5?

Care to enlighten us as to which repository? Doesn't appear in my list of instllable applications.

Looks like still a work in progress: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=42824

Everything is "work in progress" on Maemo. Except for Maemo5 itself, I guess.

I would have great difficulty in that task, being as I am a chemist and not computer programmer.

As for the Idea of using the USB port to plug in an arcade stick, I'm taking it from your LMGTFY link and it's top result, that would be a no?

I have a good experience using a Zeemote with my N900. Sadly, there are not enought Buttons for a game like streetfighter...

But perhaps you are able to buy and use 2 Zeemotes at the same time.
