Hi,

I am looking to buy a Nokia Navigation Kit for N770.
I found one that comes with software and maps from Navicore for Europe, and there are 2 versions, one has "Northern Europe" maps, the other has "Southern Europe" maps.

I could not find anywhere on the Navicore website details regarding which countries are covered exactly by the 2 package versions.

I was wondering if anybody bought one of the 2 software packages and can detail the countries included in each of them?

I bought the N800 version it came with a DVD and all maps were on the DVD there wasn't an option when I ordered

One point to note though Navicore do not support the N800 on their update service so its impossible at the moment to upgrade the product with bug fixes, map additions etc. Maybe different for N770

Navicore do not see this as an issue. I have raised support requests but they fail to respond

did you receive a dvd with all maps for europe? or all maps worldwide?

My Navicore Personal Europe 2007 kit includes maps on the DVD for the following: -

Benelux
Central Eastern Europe
France
Germany_Alps
Greece
Italy
Scandinavia
Spain_Portugal
Turkey
UK_Ireland

From what I can tell they are all covered by the same licence. The maps take up about 1.5gb of space.

Other maps, i.e. USA, Alaska and Canada are available for download but are of no use unless you purchase the corresponding additional licence.

I have the Northern Europe pack - it includes:

- UK-Ireland
- Benelux (Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg)
- Central-Eastern-Europe (Poland, Czeck, Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Ukraine etc)
- Germany-Alps (Germany, Switzerland, Austria
- Scandinavia (Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland)

Southern Europe obviously therefore has France, Spain, Portugal, Italy and Greece (may have some overlap too - perhaps the UK?)

I spoke too soon. Those Northern Europe regions are what's on the 1GB card I have, but ALL the European countries (including Spain, France, Italy etc) are on the data DVD that's part of the package (which I'd never looked at closely). In total they occupy more than 1gb (the size of the card), so it's possible you can choose just what countries to install.

I have a 2GB card on order and when it comes will let you know if it's possible to install the other countries.

I am living in europe, but I purchased the US navicore package on a recent extendend USA trip. When I came home, I simply bought the "Europe" update from the Webstore, and on the DVD which I received there were ALL those european maps.

If you look closer in the Webstore, the nothern/southern packages are only available for the Mobile Phones versions. For the N800 version there is only the USA+Canada and the "All Europe" package available.

BTW: I had no problem updating BOTH my USA and my European Maps+Applications with the special Navicore Updater (via Web interface).

I have installed all EU countries from the DVD to a big internal SD cards, and can confirm it works.

My 2gb rsmmc card arrived this morning and I too can confrm you can install any set of regions you like from the full set on the DVD
