its not the top frequency that matters
    its the minimum
    make it 500
    u'll notice a big difference
    here's the logic
desktop has loads of shortcuts and widgets
t250mhz is too less makes it slow and laggy
and it takes time to switch from 250 to 500 which causes teh laggyness
make the min freq 500 and try again
    hope it helps

bet minimum 500 is a battery killer!

playing angry birds for 20 minuites kills the 3 top bars at 900mh, and the top bar lasts 2 hours of browsing

Its laggy because it is "swapping" due to not enough physical ram. See this thread: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php...=optimize+n900
The script from there has helped me a *lot*.

+1 for the optimization script. Or you could just reboot.

Or just buy an iPhone 4 and get over it, that's what I did and I'm not looking back.

Having a phone that you must overclock and fiddle with just to have it scroll fluidly, play media without stuttering or answer the goddamn phone when I say so... it's just too much.

Why in the world a phone user should know anything about Mhz, RAM, upthreashold, volt etc?!

there there its OK , we dont blame you that you have tiny brain...and believe me there are LOTS of people who want to know and learn about ooohhh scary words like Megahertz, Random access memory and voltage...GTFO of this site if you dont have any ideas

OP script works fine, its better to use it and save battery since during restarts N900 consumes a lot
