Maybe this could help. When its happeing try to open on the top "Edit account" and then go trough it and save it again. And then try to resend that failed email.
And my gmail security connection is on SSL & Port 465 . Well its obviously comes by default.

Yea, I tried that already, still no luck though, besides its not only email, it happens to share via facebook as well as pixelpipe
