I have tried sites that actually require flash 10.1. Go to m.flash.com and all sites listed require flash 10.1 (apparently).

Try the south park avatar creator etc.

It has to be noted that I never tried them with Flash 9.x so can someone try that?

kongregate and miniclip never worked for me earlier and they do now (and pretty fast) so I am happy. I care less if it's the real deal or not.

do the following as root:
cp /usr/lib/browser/plugins/libflashplayer.so /usr/lib/browser/plugins/libflashplayer.so.orig

This will make a copy of the old libray named libflashplayer.so.orig

cp path_to_the_new_file /usr/lib/browser/plugins/libflashplayer.so

this will overwrite the old library with the new file

I think the success of this points out that while Nokia is lame for not bringing flash 10.1 to maemo, Adobe is double lame for strong-arming websites into requiring 10.1 when the content does not justify it.

This plugin is Flash 9.x - all that's been done is the version string it reports has been changed to 10.1. There's absolutely no other difference, so if it works using this plugin then it doesn't actually require Flash 10.1 (or not for any of the functionality you've tried so far).
