Hi everybody,

As I'm interested in music manipulation, I am looking for a software (or at least a piece of software) on the n900 that I could use to split mp3 files.

All that I could find was 2 programs that seem to work on linux, but do not seem to work on the Maemo 5 OS.

These 2 softwares are
  • mpg123
  • mp3splt

They can be downloaded on sourceforge.net, seem to run on debian, but cannot be installed on Maemo 5 because of missing packages if I remember well.

Do you have an idea on how to run a program on N900 that allows the splitting of mp3 files?

Kind regards in advance

If you want to considering doing this on a Windows machine, Slice Audio File Splitter by NCH works well.

Hi Mece,

Thanks for your reply. I tried to install your packages a few months ago, but it didn't work in fact.
The message said "impossible to install 'libmp3splt'. Incompatible application package".

Unfortunately your solution doesn't work.
